Leigh McCready Steps Down as President of Peregian Family & Friends After six years of dedicated service, Leigh McCready, our founding president, has decided to step down from her role. Since its inception in 2017, Leigh has been instrumental in leading our organisation to remarkable achievements, leaving an indelible mark on the Peregian community. Under Leigh’s leadership, Peregian Family & Friends has raised over $130,000 to fund vital community projects. Works to commence behind the Pavilions

Development to Start Peregian Family & Friends Inc has received correspondence from a number of concerned residents of the ‘Pavilions’ in Peregian Springs, voicing their concerns regarding recent notice that works will soon commence on the development of multi dwelling units at 5 Pavilion Drive. According to Sunshine Coast Regional Council’s Div 9 Councillor Maria Suarez, initial approval for this development was given in 2009. “There seems to be some confusion from other enquiries about the original approvals and the recent amendments. Does Peregian Springs Need a Community House?

Our members told us that Peregian Springs needs a Community House. We approached the Sunshine Coast Regional Council through Division 9 Councillor, Maria Suarez. We asked her if a Community House was being considered for Peregian Springs. “No funds are available in this budget.” Cr Suarez said. “However, I have arranged for an allocation to identify whether there is a need.” Peregian Family & Friends is now seeking information and feedback from you.
